IBM Controller is the new name for Cognos Controller.

It is a purpose-built solution specifically for financial consolidation and reporting, supporting many features such as multiple currencies, complex ownership structure, changes in your organisation and so forth. IBM Controller aims to be an all-encompassing solution for financial auditing regardless of the size of your business.

Cognos Controller, while still referred to in many different places, is now the legacy name for this solution, not to be confused with IBM Cognos Analytics.

IBM Controller (previously known as Cognos Controller) is IBM’s purpose-built financial consolidation solution for Group Finance.
