IBM Controller – The Customer Advisory Board (CAB) Day

As an IBM Cognos Controller specialist, I attended the IBM Cognos Controller Partner Advisory Board (PAB) Day in April, which IBM hosted for partners like Aramar. I look forward to it every year, and this event was one of the best I have attended. The highlight was meeting the development team and learning what they have been working on in IBM Cognos Controller Web and what is planned!

The PAB is about sharing of information and ideas between IBM and partners around the subject of the IBM Cognos Controller system, with the IBM Product Manager providing insight and updates on the product lifecycle and ongoing development of the system and partners being given opportunities to provide valuable feedback through their experience in implementing IBM Cognos Controller and working with customers of the system.

IBM also runs a Customer Advisory Board (CAB) day for customers instead of partners, which is the same concept as the PAB. I often attended the CAB as an IBM Cognos Controller administrator and user. They take place each year, the day before the PAB.

There is usually a customer presentation and an IBM demonstration, with a Q&A session. IBM will ask customers for feedback generally or around a specific functionality they seek to improve. It is a chance to share and learn with other customers experiences of implementing, migrating, and using IBM Cognos Controller and to understand how IBM Cognos Controller works with other tools in the IBM Cognos Analytics suite.

It is a fantastic opportunity to network and to get time out of the office to think …… about your IBM Cognos Controller’s next steps!

If you are interested in learning more about the IBM Cognos Controller CAB, please let us know. In the meantime, if you want to attend Aramar’s Event that is planned for 18th September and do not have an invite, also get in touch.

Let us know your thoughts here.
